China

Early Monday morning Marianne and I took our daughter Alison to DFW Airport. It seems like yesterday when I used to take her to DFW to ride the moving sidewalks on Daddy/Daugher day when she was 3 years ago. Alison, along with a group from East Texas Baptist University, are currently in China until May 21. She is taking a study abroad course in Pschology.

God has been good to our family as He has provided the means for Alison to embark on this once in lifetime learning opportunity. I have always heard from my parents, "We want to give you and your sister opportunities we never had." I have the same sentiment toward my children.

What will Alison experience while in China? Jet lag, homesickness, excitement, amazement, but most of all how personal and real Jesus is. Jesus will take care of all her needs as she is away from her cell phone, text messaging, Grey's Anatomy, etc....

Looking forward to May 21 when her brothers, Andrew and Ashton, and myself pick her up at DFW. Maybe we can find a moving sidewalk to enjoy.
